What is a SPEED DATING EVENT?
The concept of "speed dating" has been around for many years! The goal of these events is to help singles on Long Island
to have a chance to meet in a pleasant non-threatening, private environment.
Our events are held only in upscale restaurants which serve
excellent food, not loud bar room pubs.
How it works: Women stay at the same table all evening, while the men participants progress around the room to a different table meeting a new "date” every 7 minutes. At the sound of the "DING," each date ends and everyone marks their score sheet as to whether or not they'd like to follow-up with that particular person again. At the end of the evening, everyone turns in their score sheet. We will follow-up with you within 24 hours by email (or phone if you do not have email) to notify you of your “matches”.
In addition to those you meet one-on-one in your rotations, you'll have the opportunity to meet and mingle with the other participants before the event, during our break for food and after the event. Additional Food and Drinks are available for purchase through the venue and are at the participant's personal expense. (Please be advised that special events may have different pricing, structure and inclusions).
Do you check (proof) for ages before the event?
I do not "proof" your age at
the door of the event. It is my own personal belief- that this is
embarrassing and not necessary for this type of event. My events are
fun, friendly and social. I trust someone will not lie to me
when they are asked their age when they register. Anyone that does
lie about their age, is only "cheating" themselves. No one
wants to start a relationship based on a lie. If you do
misrepresent
your correct age, and this is brought to my attention by the
participants, you will only be allowed to attend the next event that
is appropriate for your age. This rule applies to BOTH men and
women.
How well can you get to know someone in 7 mins?
While it's obvious that 7 mins is not sufficient time to get to know someone in any great depth, your goal should be to
determine whether the person you are meeting, is someone that you would like to follow-up with and possibly see again.
Meeting someone face-to-face has some real advantages over On-line dating. Sometimes sparks really do fly with instant
chemistry! But at the very least, the shroud of unknown associated with the internet online is a not an issue.
Try concentrating on the questions* you ask and the observations you make of each person you meet. This will be the most valuable way to making your assessment.

What happens if I don't receive any matches?
Within 24 hours following an event, we email or call all participants. We'll provide those with "matches" with their
first names only, assigned numbers and contact information. Anyone lacking "matches" will be invited to return to give it
another try. If you actually attend one of our dating events and don't make any
matches for any reason, you are welcome to attend
another of our events for at half-price standard admission.
What happens if I cancel, don't show up, or arrive late?
Our dating events rely on equal numbers of men and women to pair for each round of dates. During the days immediately
preceding a 7-in-heaven7 dating event, we email reminder notices. Out of consideration for the other participants,
please make every effort to attend and be on time. Please appreciate that last minute cancellations and "no shows"
impact others' participation.
Please be advised that just like any event ticket purchase, there are NO refunds or credits of any kind for a *No Show. Once your registration is confirmed and paid (your credit or debit card is charged or your check or money order received), your sale is final.
If you aren't able to attend an event for which your have registered and paid, out of consideration for others, please exercise the courtesy of letting us know ASAP. Ideally, the best solution is for you to pass along your admission to a friend of the same sex and within the event's stated age group so as not to throw off our balance of matches. If you are unable to send a replacement, we’ll attempt to replace you from a wait list (if there is one).
In the event that you cancel with 2 days prior notice for whatever reason to the scheduled event, we will allow you credit to reschedule to a future event.
*No Show - In the event that you do not show and do not call the venue to let us know that you are unable to attend, you will be charged full price to register to attend another event - absolutely no credit given.
What are the rules of the event?
In order to keep the environment fun, low-pressure, comfortable and safe, participants must observe the following:
- Be respectful of yourself and others. You may NOT ask anyone for or give out contact information including a last name, phone number, email, address, or employer (not even a business card).
- You may NOT ask anyone directly out on a date. You may not ask any sexually explicit questions nor say or do (including gestures) anything that may be interpreted as being threatening or sexual harassing.
- You must represent yourself in an honest manner that includes not lying about your age before signing up for an event.
Attending a Long Island 7-in-Heaven speed dating event allows you to meet face-to-face with age appropriate single men and women on Long Island, where you live and work.
Unlike internet online dating, you get to meet the girl or guy next door, not the online dater that lives 8,000 miles away from you. Percipients live or work in your area. And, we all know that if you're looking to find a successful relationship, statistically your chances for success are greater the closer to home you date. Also… We all know about how many MR. or MRS. Married-and- cheating are using the online dating sites these days as a way to meet unsuspecting singles. Emailing and talking on the phone while online dating, and not meeting in person, allows people to easily be something they are not. Here at our Long Island Speed dating events you are meeting face-to-face with men and women that are serious about finding a quality date.
Unlike meeting at the laundry mat or grocery store or at work…. Everyone has the same agenda - to meet someone special!
The event makes it easy to meet other singles. You don't need to worry about whether or not anyone will speak with you. There's no need to fear rejection because at the event no one is allowed to ask someone for a date.
Your whole evening isn't monopolized by someone who doesn't interest you like what might happen on those blind dates your friends set you up on!
How many times have you gone out with your friends to a crowded Restaurant/ Bar/ Happy hour and not met one single person in the course of the whole evening? Speed Dating is more efficient. In just one evening you'll meet between 7-10 dates instead of just one - saving you time and $'s.
It's fun!!! Sometimes it reminds us a little of musical chairs for grown-ups. But in our grown-up version, no one loses or gets left out.
How can I register for an event? How much will it cost?
Event registration is simple and open to any single adults 23 and
older ( events are created and held by age groups) . The
regular price is $38.00 per speed-dating event (includes 1
Free drink + Appetizers ) *Special
events may have additional costs.

7-in-Heaven Speed Dating and Special Singles Events does not charge you any membership fee or commitment beyond the specific event you wish to attend. It is suggested you register for an event at least one week in advance here on the 7-in-heaven official website or Call us at 631-592-9804 to register.
Once you register, you can pay immediately either via our online through the secure *PAYPAL (* you do not need a Paypal account to pay by credit card) or we can accept credit card payment by phone 631-592-9804.
*PAYPAL is the safest easiest way to pay online. PAYPAL uses any major credit card, or your checking account for payment. It never exposes your credit card or bank account numbers to the Merchant. If you don’t have a PAYPAL account, you can set one up for free.
